At Transform Tutoring, we understand that spelling and writing can be challenging, intimidating, or downright hard! We know that every child is at a different stage in their learning and has a need for personalised learning goals. Our tutoring services ensure that your child’s requirements are met through a Personalised Learning Plan that is tailored to their academic needs, learning styles and interests! We know how challenging the classroom can be for our little learners and we want them to reach their full potential, while enjoying the writing process.
Who do we help?
Our tutoring services cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We help students that:
- Need support in their spelling and writing
- Have low self-esteem or confidence to spell and write
- Are neurodiverse and require a more personalised approach
- Have difficulties with their fine motor skills which may be impacting their handwriting
- Require extension in their writing to reach their full potential
- Need an experienced teacher to fill in learning gaps
Whilst we specifically focus on teaching writing and spelling, we are also able to provide tutoring to students on all other primary school subjects.
How does it work?
Each student is assessed in writing and spelling to get a clear picture of their strengths and areas of development. We provide honest feedback to parents and construct a Personalised Learning Plan to address each child’s academic needs.
We learn more about your child so that we can provide relevant and engaging content in our lessons. We want writing to be a fun and enjoyable experience that your child will engage with enthusiastically.
Writing and spelling are explicitly taught using current and proven teaching strategies and methods. Each lesson aligns with the student’s learning goals which are directly matched with the Australian Curriculum.
Lessons are scaffolded so that every student has every opportunity to succeed and meet their learning needs.
Honest, timely and regular feedback is given to parents. We provide additional activities to consolidate concepts taught during each tutoring session.
